We areseekingan Associate RF Microwave DesignEngineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems, Buffalo, New York office; an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art Simulation Systems solutions.
The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with suppliers, customers and other designers. Thecandidates existingexperience and knowledgecombined with on the job training and coaching from peers and senior Engineers will ensure success of the following:
The Engineer will design and implement specialized test equipment used in the testing of Military Radar, Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), and Jamming systems. The Engineer will work with discrete connectorized RF components such as amplifiers, filters, mixers, switches, and oscillators. Also will design and implement integrated microwave assemblies (IMAs) utilizing chip and wire construction including transmission line, wire bonding, bare die MMICs (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits), distributed element filters on various substrates, and packaged RF devices. The Engineer will also design analog circuits including use of operational amplifiers, power regulators, andA/D and D/A converters.
The Engineer will review and derive requirements, develop block diagrams, and perform simulation utilizing software tools such as HFSS, Genesys, and ADS (Advanced Design Systems). The Engineer will also be required to brass-board the design and make adjustments. Following successful design reviews, the Engineer will formally document the design for production, support procurement/production, and integrate and test the final product.
The Engineer will be required to communicate with internal customers as well as external customers and suppliers. In addition, he/she must be able to write test procedures and support technicians during the testing of sub components and finished product. He/she must be able to work as part of a multifunctional team working within schedule and budget constraints.

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering orother related technical discipline
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
- Microwave/RF coursework
- Intern or cooperative experiencein the field of Microwave or RF Engineering
- Ability to proficiently use engineering analysis tools including ADS, HFSS and Genesys.
