Eaton’s Summer ApplicationsEngineering Co-Op Program is forstudents pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. The objective of theprograms is to develop students in the application engineering function througha practical experience, as well as assist in the personal development ofleadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. Theassignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership andfunctional competencies within the field of engineering. Assignments areavailable for those students interested in application engineering for powerdistribution and control products (Switchgear, Switchboards and Motor Control)serving the Data Center, Alternative Energy and other industrial markets.?Wherever your career aspirations lie, you can cultivate your skills in theCo-Op Program!
Completion of their sophomore year bythe start of the Co-Op. This Co-Op is designed to provide opportunities to adiverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values,creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12 to 14 week paidCo-Op, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on ourbusiness and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.
This program provides candidates withgreat exposure to Eaton and would prepare them for a potential opportunity tobe considered for the Eaton Leadership Development Programs or an engineeringor operations role within Eaton upon graduation.
Example assignments might include:
Working with a team todevelop test fixtures for verifying performance of various elements ofSwitchgear and Motor Control assemblies.? As a member of the team, you willwork with lead engineers on design principles such as defining requirements,contributing to definition of hardware design, define test plans and performvalidation testing to confirm that system and functional requirements are met.?
Working with a team todocument and organize standards for control schematics along with othercollateral utilized to fulfill customer requirements.
Working with a team toimprove productivity of the application engineering function through testingand implementation of engineering systems.
Basic Qualifications(Including Educational Requirements):
Actively enrolled in abachelor’s degree program in engineering with a major in electrical engineeringfrom an accredited institution
Minimum overallcumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round)
Must be legallyauthorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Geographicalflexibility to relocate within the Southeastern United States for the durationof the Co-op Program
Minimum overallcumulative GPA of 3.0 of higher
Completion of sophomoreyear by the start of the co-op
Prior internship orco-op experience
Excellent written, oralcommunication and presentation skills
Demonstrated leadershipexperience within campus and/or the community
